Airport Parking

Ideal for quick trips, pick-ups and drop-offs. The short-term car park is uncovered and designed for stays under 7 hours. The first 30 minutes are free, and accessible bays are available. 

Maximum $20 per day, then long term rates apply.

Staying overnight or longer? The long-term car park is covered and charged at a daily rate, making it a convenient option for extended travel. Accessible bays are available.

Parking at Mount Isa Airport is cashless and contactless. Follow these simple steps when entering and exiting the car park:

Entering the car park

• Drive to the boom gate/entry terminal.
• Look for the contactless payment symbol (usually near the screen or card reader).
• Tap your credit card (or digital wallet like Apple Pay, Google Pay) on the reader.
• Wait for the beep or confirmation message.
• The boom gate will lift. Drive in and park.

Exiting the car park

• Drive to the exit boom gate/exit terminal.
• Tap the same credit card you used to enter on the contactless reader.
• The system will calculate your parking fee automatically.
• The amount will be charged to your card, and you’ll see a message confirming payment.
• The boom gate will open, and you can now exit.

Important: 

• The same card or method of tapping (i.e. watch or phone) must be used to exit.
• Motorbikes also need to park in the bays provided within the public car park. 

Accessible bays are available in both the short-term and long-term car parks, as well as in the drop-off and pick-up zone. 

Mount Isa Airport, in conjunction with Mount Isa Council, may tow and impound any vehicle that does not comply with these conditions. 

By entering this car park, YOU AGREE to: 

• Tap your Credit/Debit card to enter and tap again at exit to pay calculated fee. 
• Park only in a designated parking bay, in a safe and orderly manner. 
• Not park your vehicle in the car park for more than 45 days, and; 
• Permit Mount Isa Airport to remove your vehicle from the place it is parked if Mount Isa Airport considers the vehicle is parked in an unauthorised or unsafe position, or is abandoned, and store it at your cost and risk. 
• The maximum parking time for this car park is 45 days. Vehicles parked beyond the maximum parking time will be deemed to be abandoned.
• Mount Isa Airport accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to any vehicle using this car park, including any vehicle towed by it. 
• You must always while in the car park comply with all oral and written directions and requests made by Mount Isa Airport or person duly authorised by Mount Isa Airport. 
• If you do not agree to these conditions, you must immediately exit the car park with your vehicle. 
• These terms and conditions are subject to any non-excludable statutory obligations imposed upon Mount Isa Airport. Mount Isa Airport means Mount Isa Airport Pty Limited.
