Your Ride to the Runway
Mount Isa Airport is only a few minutes from the city centre, with parking located right outside the terminal. Short- and long-term options are available, plus a free 30-minute zone for quick drop-offs and pickups.
Taxis are available directly outside the terminal, and car hire desks including Hertz, Avis Budget and Thrifty operate within the terminal for added convenience.

Check-in counters are located inside the terminal and open ahead of all scheduled flights.
After checking in head through security and into the departure lounge to relax before your flight.

What to expect at Screening
Everyone entering the departure lounge, including friends and family, is required to go through security screening. This includes body scanners, X-ray screening of carry-on items, and random explosive trace checks.

Grab & Go at the Airport
Need a pre-flight coffee or a quick bite? Head to Cloverleaf, the bar and café in the departures lounge after security, serving hot and cold drinks plus light refreshments, with opening hours aligned to flight times. For grab-and-go on arrival, vending machines are near the baggage carousels and available during terminal opening hours.
Boarding
Time to Head to Your Gate
Flight Information Display Screens are located throughout the terminal, so you can keep track of your flight and any updates.
At Mount Isa Airport, all flights are domestic. Departures are through the security screening area into the Departure Lounge, where you’ll find Gates 2 and 3. Gate 1 is used for arrivals.
When boarding is called, simply follow the signs in the lounge and have your boarding pass ready.
If you need extra assistance, airline staff are on hand to support passengers who have arranged additional help.
