Gold Coast Airport has one main terminal. Both domestic and international flights operate from this terminal.

Is Gold Coast Airport open 24 hours?

The terminal is open from 4:00am to 11:00pm daily. Entry is restricted outside these hours, and overnight stays inside the terminal are not permitted.

Does Gold Coast Airport have free Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal.

Are there smoking areas at the airport?

Yes. Designated smoking areas are located at the northern end of the terminal, along the northern car park walkway, and in the southern forecourt. Smoking, vaping, or using e-cigarettes is strictly prohibited inside the terminal and airside areas.

Are there lockers available at the airport?

Yes. Lockers are located at the front of the terminal in the short-term car park. Pricing varies depending on duration.

Is there public transport available to and from Gold Coast Airport?

Where is the rideshare pick-up zone?

Rideshare pick-up is located outside the terminal in the designated rideshare area. 

Can I catch a train to the airport?

While there's no train station at the airport, you can take a bus or shuttle from Varsity Lakes or Helensvale train stations.

How far is the airport from Surfers Paradise and Byron Bay?

Are there car rental services at Gold Coast Airport?

Is duty-free shopping available at the airport?

Yes. Duty-free shopping is available through Heinemann in both the International Departures Lounge and Arrivals area. Travellers can shop a range of products including cosmetics, fragrances, alcohol, and electronics before boarding their international flight or upon arrival.

What are the duty-free rules?

Duty-free allowances vary by destination. For Australians returning from overseas, limits include:

 

  • 2.25 litres of alcohol
  • 25 cigarettes or equivalent tobacco products
  • Up to AUD$900 worth of general goods (AUD$450 for travellers under 18)

There’s no need to travel hungry. In the Domestic terminal, you’ll find a range of options including Social Espresso, Hungry Jack’s, Artisan Kitchen & Bakery, Asia Street Cooking, and more. For international travellers, Wollumbin Café & Bar is available in the International Departures Lounge.

Are there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options available?
