Accessible Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Accessible Drop-Off Zone

An accessible drop-off zone is available kerbside at the northern end of the terminal, just outside the Departures and Check-in area. This zone is clearly marked for passengers with accessibility needs. For security reasons, drivers must always stay with their vehicle while using the drop-off zones.

Mobility-Friendly Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zone

If you need more time to drop-off or pick-up passengers, we offer free 1-hour Mobility Friendly parking in our short-term car park, just a short distance from the terminal. These spaces are painted green and marked with the "Mobility Friendly" sign. They do not require a disability permit. When leaving the car park, press the “Help” button and tell our parking team that you were using Mobility Friendly Parking. They will open the boom gate free-of-charge.

Car Parking

If you need to leave your vehicle for more than 1-hour or overnight, then we recommend parking in one of the airport car parks.

Accessible Parking Spaces

All of the airport car parks contain disabled parking spaces, which are typically located as close as possible to the terminal entrances and pedestrian walkways. These spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying a valid Disability Parking Permit. Vehicles not displaying a valid permit will be fined.

All car parks are located at grade level, and kerbside rampways and tactile ground surface indicators can help you access the terminal more easily.

ParkFast

Gold Coast Airport’s premium parking choice is called ParkFast. You can drop your keys off to a parking attendant before you get on your flight and then pick them up again from a locker when you get off your incoming flight. Currently you can only use these parking spaces if you arrive between 5am – 12pm (noon) and you need to book online before arriving at the airport. There are disabled parking spaces available.

Taxi and Uber Accessible Pick-Up

An accessible Pick-Up zone is available kerbside, at the southern end of the terminal, within the Uber Pick-Up area right outside Domestic Arrivals.

This accessible Pick-Up zone can be used by Ubers and taxis. To call for a taxi to pick you up from this zone, use the Accessible Taxi Call Point, which is inside the terminal, by the windows opposite baggage reclaim carousel 3.

An additional accessible pick-up bay is located within the taxi zone outside of International Arrivals. This is only available for people travelling in taxis.

Car Rentals

Hand Control Rental Cars

Public Transport

You can access the airport by public bus, operated by Translink. The bus stop is located a very short distance from the terminal, in front of the domestic arrivals area.

Translink buses are accessible, with low floor entry, ramps and allocated spaces for wheelchairs and mobility devices.
